Separation of forming/fabricating machine and metal cutting machine tool in the metal processing machine industry is becoming mainstream. This tendency can be observed in not only developed countries in Europe and America, but also newly industrialized countries such as China and India. In Japan too, Japan Forming Machinery Association (JFMA) launched the Asia’s first metal forming technology fair, namely “MF-Tokyo Metal Forming & Fabricating Fair Tokyo” in October 2009. Last MF-Tokyo achieved a remarkable success by attracting world’s leading manufacturers of press/sheet metal/forming machines. It is crucially important to launch such fair in Japan, where there are many leading manufacturers of metal forming machines.
The Second MF-Tokyo will be organized during August 3-6, 2011 at the East Hall 4・5・6 of Tokyo Big Sight. Press machines, sheet metal machines (including laser and plasma processing machines), forming machines and its peripheral equipment are major exhibiting products of the fair.
Subtitle of MF-Tokyo 2011 is Presenting collective wisdom and innovative ideas for “Eco-Forming”. Challenges for current MONODZUKURI include energy saving, environmental consciousness, high efficiency, automation and safety of worksite. Metal forming/fabricating machines have wisdom and ideas for solving these challenges. These are lean, swarf-free and environmental conscious machines. Automation is accelerated by feeders and robots. Safety of worksite is ensured by safety devices. JFMA has implemented “MF Eco Machine Certification System” since January 2009. 31 products and 117 models from 19 companies have already been recognized as “MF Eco Machines” as of now. Average energy-saving rate of certified machines is 40.6% reduction.
Metal forming technology is attracting considerable attentions of people who are involved in MONODZUKURI. Many manufacturers consider introducing metal forming machines in their manufacturing sites. MF-Tokyo will be the best opportunity to publicize your products and technologies among potential customers. We sincerely look forward to your participation at this fair.
